Graduate Internship Program

The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department offers paid and unpaid internships, providing graduate students with valuable experience and exposure to the vocational rehabilitation program.

We encourage internships with colleges and universities whose programs meet the requirement of the Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD) standards in order to maximize the SCVRD’s opportunities to hire qualified graduates as vocational rehabilitation counselors.

Internship experience consists of hands-on work with individuals with disabilities, providing an array of services that will result in the individual becoming gainfully employed.

Interns

  • work in a team environment;
  • interact with agency staff and other professionals;
  • participate in counselor orientation and in-service training;
